ASCHHEIM, GERMANY, September 24, 2020 – On top of being awarded the SERVIEW CERTIFIEDTOOL certification several times in a row, iET® ITSM, a solution for comprehensive enterprise-wide IT Service Management (ITSM) from iET Solutions, a division of UNICOM® Global, has today received SERVIEW’s seal of approval in the ‘Supporting Service Management’ category. With this new certification, the assessors from SERVIEW, the independent management consultancy company, certify that all iET® ITSM service management processes have passed the practical test to optimally support customers’ end-to-end service delivery.
Due to its high level of functionality, iET® ITSM has for many years received the SERVIEW CERTIFIEDTOOL award in the ‘Service Management’ category for 18 processes. The solution has already demonstrated that it maps all processes for service catalog management and service asset & configuration management in accordance with ITIL®. The scope of the certification covers the services offered and their structure and configuration, including the IT components used as well as their dependencies.
The additional ‘Supporting Service Management’ certification from SERVIEW is only allocated to solutions that can demonstrate – on the basis of a given use case – that they increase the effectiveness of service management practices according to ITIL®.
This means that iET® ITSM has demonstrated that its service catalog, service configuration management and service level management modules are seamlessly integrated. Each of these is comprehensively documented, including underlying services, components, dependencies, and related service level agreements with customers as well as with external and internal service providers.
The new certification offers companies the assurance that iET® ITSM delivers the following benefits to help them manage and deliver their IT services:
Services are mapped transparently and consistently, including all specifications, dependencies and responsibilities.
For each service, the organizational units affected and the scope of their involvement are clearly shown.
The impact of organizational changes on service delivery can be estimated more accurately.
Effort and costs can be allocated on the basis of service-oriented cost allocation.
"As service delivery happens ‘end-to-end’, comprehensive tool support is essential to manage and control services throughout the entire process. The mapping and application of the SERVIEW Service & Configuration Model in an ITSM solution enables the service provider to achieve complete transparency of its service delivery. iET® ITSM from iET Solutions fully meets these requirements," explained Michael Heyn, Principal Consultant at SERVIEW, who is responsible for the SERVIEW CERTIFIEDTOOL division.
At the virtual trade fair ITSM-TOOL MEETUP 20 (from September 28th to October 4th, 2020), iET Solutions will demonstrate both the practical implementation of the defined SERVIEW use case for the Service & Configuration Model and its iET® ITSM solution.
Register at https://www.itsm-meetup.com/ to attend one of the live sessions from iET Solutions on September, 29th or on October, 1st, 2020.
